Although it is possible to install brick slips into your shower, there are a few things you must be careful of first. Brick slips can absorb large amounts of water. This is why they are great to use as external cladding as it copes brilliantly in the rain! However, they are not entirely waterproof so it is important that they are installed and sealed correctly. Keeping your bathroom well ventilated will also be important to avoid mould scaring the brick slip.

Sealing your shower brick slips also makes them hydrophobic allowing the water to bead from the clay. The shower is one of the only times where brick tiles with a lot of texture and character are less desirable. This is because there is an increased risk of catching and scratching yourself on any rough edges. It is for this reason that I would recommend our Portland Blue slips.
