From here they are moulded into the correct shape, dried off and the fired in the kiln. The temperatures in the kiln vary between 982°C and 1316°C! Now we get to the interesting part of the brick slip production process. Once the bricks have gone through the kiln they are ready to be packed and sent to us! When they arrive with us each brick is subject to a delicate manual process. During this, the faces of the brick will be cut to form the slip and each individual slip quality checked so you can be assured you are only receiving the best!
