Brick Slip Production From Start To Finish!

brick slip production

It is important to know where things come from. The food that you eat, the clothes on your back and the brick slips on your wall! So let us walk you through the brick slip production process.

The first step of brick slip production is the preparation of the actual brick itself. The clay is extracted from the ground and mixed with water. From here they are moulded into the correct shape, dried off and the fired in the kiln. The temperatures in the kiln vary between 982°C and 1316°C! So, as we explained in our blog about fireplace brick slips, you’ll never have to worry about the temperature in your house damaging your slips.

Now we get to the interesting part of the brick slip production process. Once the bricks have gone through the kiln they are ready to be packed and sent to us! When they arrive with us each brick is subject to a delicate manual process. During this, the faces of the brick will be cut to form the slip and each individual slip quality checked so you can be assured you are only receiving the best!

After all of this, the brick slip production process is complete. This means your slips are ready to be delivered to you! If you are curious about delivery costs, put your mind at ease and click here.

We want to thank you for choosing Slips From Stock as your brick slip supplier! So once your slips have been installed post them on Facebook or Instagram and we’ll send you an Amazon voucher!
