The time has come! You’ve ordered your sample panels and made the decision on which brick slip to go for. Now the big question is how long will you be waiting for your brick slip delivery? Well, here at Slips From Stock, we don’t like to keep you guessing OR waiting so read on to put your mind at ease!
We are well aware that nobody likes waiting for their order. That is why we do everything possible to keep the time between your order confirmation and brick slip delivery as short as possible! If you place your order before 10am, we’ll try to have it picked, packed and dispatched in the same day. This should hopefully mean that you have your order with you within 2 days!
For orders 10m² and over there is no brick slip delivery charge. For anything less however, delivery is priced at £50. Due to the weight of a pallet of brick slips, orders have to be delivered on artic lorries. The cost of running these lorries is significantly higher than running a van similar to those Amazon use to deliver your orders. It is because of this that they are able to offer free delivery as it costs them very little. However, brick slip delivery can be quite costly a lot of the time even more the £50 we charge. The recent HGV driver shortage has only compounded these costs.
Following Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic a large volume of foreign HGV drivers returned back to their native countries. We won’t go into extensive detail as we already have done so in a previous article. This mass exodus of HGV drivers is a contributing factor to the petrol issues the UK is facing at the current moment. It has also made brick slip delivery more costly. Rather than pass this on to the consumer we have decided to rather absorb this cost ourselves. This is why Slips From Stock cost of brick slip delivery has remained the same since launch whilst many competitors have administered a hike in their prices.
