There is something for every home and every style when it comes to brick slips, so getting rid of the ugly wall is a simple task. Once they are installed, you won’t have to worry about those cracks catching your eye each time you walk past because they will be well and truly hidden.

Installation is Easy

When it comes to plastering, there is a lot of work that has to go into the process. There is no denying that it is a highly skilled job but it can be disruptive. First of all, the plasterer will need space to work, which might mean clearing the room to make space. Then the plasterer has to carry out their work and this can mean a lot of mess. Furthermore, they will need to return to apply their second coat but effectively, it could mean that your room is out of action for several days. Even then, the process is not finished. The plaster then has to dry correctly and if anything in the drying process does not go well then the plaster could crack again, so you need to keep the room well-ventilated. Once dry, then have to paint or hang wallpaper….all of which takes time.

With brick slips, you can install them in a matter of hours depending on the size of the wall. There is no unpleasant smell or mess either, making it the ideal solution.

There Are Some Considerations to Make

It might be tempting to put your brick slips on your damaged wall but without any prior prep work, this could lead to disaster. So, it is important that none of the existing plaster is blown or that it is not coming away from the wall. If this is the case, then it will be highly likely that your brick slips will prove too heavy and will fall off the wall along with the plaster underneath.

So, if you have ugly walls, you can always turn to brick slips as they can transform your walls and leave them looking beautiful at the same time.
