Yes! It is entirely safe to brick slip your fireplace. When they are manufactured brick slips reach temperatures in excess of 1000ºC. This is significantly higher than any temperature your living room fireplace could ever reach so you can rest easy knowing your slips won’t suddenly start burning one day. You should however, be warned that being exposed too high temperatures for extended periods of time may cause some discolouration of your brick tiles. Furthermore, our brick slips have an ‘A1’ fire rating, meaning they are completely non-combustible. So with our brick slips, your fireplace is 100% safe!
