Installing a reclaimed brick slip wall, is a great way of owning a piece of history in you own home!
Reclaimed brick slips are in principle the same as any other brick slip. They are literally just 20mm tiles cut from bricks. But what makes reclaimed brick slip so special is where they come from. These brick tiles come from bricks that have already been used in previous projects. When the time has come for these buildings to be revamped, we gladly take in whatever bricks are salvaged. These bricks then arrive at our factory to be turned into slip form. We take extra care when manufacturing reclaimed brick tiles as they tend to be more fragile. Each one has to be individually quality checked before it is boxed to ensure it is still suitable for use.
In theory, with brick slip you can either go down the reclaimed or newly manufactured route. Many of our newly made brick slips are made to give off a slight reclaimed brick slip look. This allows them to work well in a range of different projects. This is regardless of whether they are modern builds or more traditional slightly older ones.
