Brick tile mortar is a great way to add the finishing touch to your freshly installed feature wall. So allow us to guide you through it!
When installing brick tiles, the use of mortar is mainly for aesthetics. This is because the main role of a brick slip wall is too replicate the appearance of a real brick wall. When installing a real brick wall, the mortar is necessary to stick the bricks together however this is not the case with brick slip tiles. This is because it is the adhesive that holds the slips in place for your feature wall.
We have to different types of brick tile mortar available for purchase. A white mortar and a grey mortar. The lime mortar is lighter in colour meaning it couples our buff and grey slips beautifully. The grey is perhaps better suited to our darker slips such as the Rustington Antique. One bag of our lime mortar is good for 3 5m² when using a 10mm mortar joints.. If you want to know how many slips would be needed to cover this area, you may find our brick slip calculation blog to be a useful point of reference.
