It is now time to move on to the next part of our installation kit guide series. We kicked it off with a piece on brick slip tile adhesive. That was then followed up by our blog on the brick mortar. So now it is time for us to walk you through the details of our brick slip tile primer!
Our brick slip tile primer is a multi purpose agent, primer sealer, cement filler and plaster admixture that adheres to most common building and DIY materials except PVC and rubber. It is ideal for priming unsound surfaces prior to tiling, plastering or painting, as an adhesive on wood, cork, textiles and most applications where at least one surface is porous, for general dust sealing on flaking paintwork/walls etc and as a cement admixture. Our brick slip tile sealer also has improved frost resistance making it one of the best in the industry!
Brick slip tile primer is used to prepare your wall for the installation process. Before you begin using the primer you’ll want to clear the wall of any dust or debris. Once that has been done you’ll need to mix your brick slip tile primer with water adding 1 part primer for every 4 parts water. Now you’ve done that, take a large paint brush and apply the primer/water mixture to the entire are you plan to install your slips. Some walls may require a second coat but just one should be sufficient in most cases. Once the brick slip tile primer has dried, take a wire brush and give the wall another brush down. From there you are ready to move onto your next step of the installation process!
